Promise Projects
What is the Promise Project?
Each bracelet sold contributes to mental health consultation and mental health projects for survivors of major traumas through our monthly "Promise" project. Each month we select a survivor of major trauma to support, invest in and celebrate through specific projects. Referrals are made for those projects from local organizations and small businesses with local connections to survivors.

Why is the Great White Shark our symbol?
The Great White Shark is widely regarded as a phobia-inducing predator. However, most interactions between humans and shark involving injury derive simply from a misunderstanding -- Sharks mistaking humans for prey and disengaging the moment they realize their mistake. However, the mistake is unforgiven and the species is assigned a fearsome reputation (Curtis et al, 2012). Trauma phobia, and threat of pain are quick to manifest and reproduce, namely when we simply misunderstand.
